Vocal Trio, Sol3 Mio, Promise Audiences a “Good Time Guaranteed”* on 2015 UK Tour

The world’s biggest-selling opera debut act of 2014, vocal trio Sol3 Mio, break with tradition and become the first classical artists to offer a “Good Time Guaranteed or Your Money Back” with every ticket sold for their forthcoming UK Tour.

Recent performances to adoring crowds at London’s Royal Albert Hall and O2 Arena, as well as arenas in all the major cities across the country, suggest that newcomers Sol3 Mio will live up to their bold statement, as the group received not only a warm welcome, but had the crowds in stitches of laughter and demanding more. Their self-titled album quickly became the biggest-selling opera debut of last year when it was released in the UK in October.

With today’s announcement, the chart-topping trio want to assure every single attendee of a good time at their next run of live UK dates in March, and their daring money-back offer clearly supports this. During these dark winter days in which the British public find themselves either detoxing or strapped for cash, and with ‘Blue Monday’ (The Most Depressing Day of the Year) fast approaching, the trio’s mission is to spread joy with their unique performances. With this in mind, on 26th January Sol3 Mio will literally take to the streets of London, singing wherever they go, to cheer up passers-by. Whether it’s frustrated bus queues, or the heaving pavements of Oxford Street, Sol3 Mio’s ‘Happy Van’ will take them to as many locations as they have time for, doing what they do best: making people smile. Having seen the reaction to a rousing performance Sol3 Mio gave workers at the Amazon warehouse as they prepared for Black Friday last year, the singers look forward to cheering up the unsuspecting public at a time when they need it the most.

Having trained at a prestigious opera school in Wales, the tenor brothers Pene and Amitai Pati and their baritone cousin Moses Mackay are hotly tipped as ones to watch amongst the next generation of opera singers to grace the stages of the world’s major opera houses. Pene recently won the highly-coveted Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition. Together as Sol3 Mio, they not only bring their powerful voices to the public, but their infectious sense of humour through impeccable comic timing and brilliant off-the-cuff banter, reminding audiences of the lighter side of opera, and the traditions of ‘comic opera’ (opera buffa).

Having already topped the charts back home in New Zealand (and even out-selling fellow Kiwi Lorde), Sol3 Mio have now gathered fans on this side of the globe after being the stars of ITV’s ‘Live from the Palladium’, delivering an extremely moving and sensitive performance for the Queen at the televised Festival of Remembrance in November, before their imposing rendition of ‘We Three Kings’ on BBC1’s ‘Big Sing’ over Christmas.

This bodes well indeed for the 2015 ‘Good Time Guaranteed’ Tour.
